LigaAC Labs in Timisoara
Arnia’s involvement in the 15th edition of LigaAC Labs, hosted by the Politehnica University of Timisoara, underscores its commitment to cultivating practical skills among aspiring engineers and coders. LigaAC Labs offers a unique infrastructure for companies to deliver weekly laboratories over a 10-week period. These laboratories prioritize hands-on learning in engineering and coding, emphasizing practical application over theoretical concepts. Notably, participation in this program fulfills the mandatory summer internship requirement for students.
During the opening event on February 27, 2024, Arnia showcased its laboratory alongside other industry players. Traian Stanciu, our representative from Arnia, delivered an insightful presentation on the company’s laboratory, highlighting its objectives and structure. The interactive format allowed students to engage directly with Arnia’s team, garnering information and brochures about the program. One standout feature was the algorithmic challenge presented at Arnia’s stand, attracting over 20 solutions from enthusiastic students. Arnia’s innovative approach, including a prize for the optimal solution, received widespread acclaim from both students and fellow industry representatives.
With 271 applicants competing for spots in the program, Arnia faces the task of selecting 12 candidates over the next two weeks through rigorous technical tests and live interviews. This selection process ensures that only the most qualified individuals are chosen to participate in the hands-on laboratory experience, which promises to be a transformative learning opportunity.
The laboratory, titled “Code & Chat: Scalable Full-Stack Web with AI Chatbot,” (https://labs.ligaac.ro/company/arnia-software) aims to equip students with practical skills in web development and artificial intelligence, aligning with industry demands and trends.
Internship Programs at Babes Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca
In collaboration with Babes Bolyai University, Arnia extends its commitment to practical learning through internship opportunities. These internships, concentrated in three main directions – Web Technologies, Machine Learning, and System Programming, offer students invaluable exposure to real-world projects and industry-relevant challenges.
Interns specializing in Machine Learning will delve into the research and development processes, focusing on deep learning models applied to various computer vision tasks such as those revolving around OCR, object segmentation, and classification. On the other hand, those inclined towards System Programming will have the opportunity to contribute to a complex project involving the development of a Database Management System. Working with C-based codebases and intricate algorithms, interns will gain hands-on experience with complex data structures and algorithms.
The opening event on February 29, 2024, provided Arnia with a platform to introduce these internship programs to students at Babes Bolyai University. Through engaging presentations and informative brochures, Arnia showcased the diverse opportunities available for aspiring tech enthusiasts.
Despite the internships being scheduled for the summer, students have already begun to apply eagerly following the opening event.
