AI development is moving quickly, and some of the most interesting questions are emerging not just around the models themselves, but around how developers actually work with them.
That was the focus of our latest internal meetup, “Agentic Coding with Frontier and Open Source AI Models,” hosted at our office on 24 September and led by our colleague Bogdan Opritescu.
During the session, we explored the growing ecosystem around agentic development, from Skills, MCPs, LSPs and Harnesses to Spec-Driven and Test-Driven Development.
We also looked beyond cloud-based AI and discussed local AI models, including the differences between cloud and locally hosted approaches and what engineering teams need to consider when hosting their own AI.
More than anything, the meetup was an opportunity to bring developers together to explore emerging technologies, challenge ideas and share experiences around how AI is becoming part of everyday software development.
And, of course, the conversations didn’t end when the presentation did. We wrapped up the evening with more discussions and a few treats.
