Back-end .Net Engineer (Azure)

Our distributed team includes five senior engineers working remotely, and we follow a “you build it, you own it” approach, ensuring accountability and quality in everything we create.

What will you do:

Build & Innovate
• Develop backend applications and APIs using C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and RESTful services.
• Optimize and manage SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL (Cosmos DB) databases.
• Implement modern architecture patterns like event-driven designs, CQRS and SAGA workflows.
Shape the Cloud
• Create and manage infrastructure as code with Bicep or ARM templates.
• Build and maintain seamless CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
• Deploy, monitor and scale services using tools like Azure Functions, Service Bus, App Service and API Management.
Ensure Operational Reliability
• Monitor systems with Azure Application Insights and set up alerts to stay ahead of issues.
• Lead incident resolution and collaborate with Azure support for problem-solving.
• Maintain operational reliability by documenting processes and troubleshooting playbooks.
Collaborate & Improve
• Participate in code reviews and ensure quality standards are met.
• Contribute to a culture of learning, innovation and team success.

What do we ask for:

• Expertise in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core development.
• Hands-on experience with core Azure services (e.g., Functions, Cosmos DB, Service Bus).
• Proven skills in DevOps and managing CI/CD pipelines and IaC tools like Bicep or ARM templates.
• Solid knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Azure Application Insights and system troubleshooting.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and building scalable systems.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with frontend frameworks like Vue.js.
• Awareness of cloud security practices.
• Knowledge of architectural frameworks (e.g., Arc42) or advanced integration patterns.

I joined the Arnia team in 2011 on the XpressEngine project (PHP based CMS, most popular in South-East Asia) and now I’m leading the team that develops our own CMS, Karybu.
