Job description

We seek an active product owner to lead a newly formed team in developing the core product for our established group. Your collaboration will be integral with the Product Manager/Owner to implement a strategy for delivering the main product as part of our broader product line. As a leader, you will guide an independent team of eight, encompassing developers, user interface designers, and quality assurance professionals, all within the framework of the AGILE development process.

Role Expectations

  • Ensure good stakeholder collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including instructional designers, developers, and user experience experts, to gather requirements and ensure a holistic approach to product development.
  • Feature Prioritization: Prioritize features and functionalities based on business value, user impact, and market trends, maintaining a well-defined product backlog.
  • Create good user stories: As PO you will be creating the user stories for the team, presenting sprint goals and managing the outcomes following AGILE.
  • Ensure user-Centric Design: Advocate for a user-centric design approach, ensuring the primary interface is intuitive, engaging, and meets the diverse needs of learners and educators.
  • Agile Development: Work closely with development teams in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure the delivered product meets high-quality standards and user expectations.
  • Release Management: Oversee the release process, coordinating with development, marketing, and support teams to ensure successful product launches and updates.
  • Performance Monitoring: Implement systems for tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and user metrics to evaluate the success of the product and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in software development.
  • Strong understanding of learning management systems and educational technology.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to creating impactful learning experiences.
